Okay so January was a complete blogging fail. To be fair I didn't really do much at all apart from be ill and overdo it playing basketball. Here's hoping February is the month I can get my shit together. I mean this is my second post of the month and I actually scheduled it so fingers crossed it lasts. As I haven't been up to much this month, my favourites are very limited. It's basically skincare and lip products but who doesn't love a good face mask?
I am loving facemasks at the moment and this is definitely one of my favourites. I've been looking for a cruelty free replacement for the L'oreal clay one and this is perfect. It smells pretty damn good and leaves my skin feeling so soft. I will definitely be trying more from the range. I'm intrigued by the jam one and the coffee one. I also really want to try the ones from B. next and I've just noticed they're on offer at Superdrug so that could happen soon (Detox clay, Glowing Clay & Purified Clay)
Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay
As you can never have too many face masks this is another favourite at the moment. I got this in a set for Christmas along with the charcoal mask and drink up one. This is probably my favourite out of the 3. I was a bit wary to start with because I am not a massive fan of rose scented products. Luckily this doesn't smell too offensive. It also leaves my skin so damn soft and it definitely helps with texture. Definitely recommend.
The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer
Sarah got me this for Christmas and I am in love. It was perfect timing as I had just run out of my fave stila primer. This is the only thing I have tried from The Ordinary and I need more in my life asap. When I read that it gave a matte base I panicked a little bit as my skin is so dry. I avoid matte at all costs. However, this is also nice & hydrating and reduces the appearance of pores and lines. It really is an amazing all rounder. It is the perfect base for foundation.
Huda Beauty Liquid Lipstick Minis
Okay so I have a post on these lipsticks all about why I wasn't a massive fan. I recently decided to give them another whirl because the colours are just so damn gorgeous and they are growing on me. . They aren't overly drying and I seem to get on so much better with them now. I don't know whether it's because I used lipliner and my lips are less dry now but I definitely like them more and found them less streaky. I have The Red Edition and my favourite shades are Famous (an effortlessly Chic Burgundy) and Material Girl (a fierce plum).
Primark Lipgloss
This lipgloss cost me the grand total of £2 and I looove it. I'm not a huge gloss wearer but I am reaching for them more and more recently. They are just so perfect for a causal makeup look. This one isn't sticky at all and has the perfect amount of glitter in it for a nice casual shimmery lip. Next time I'm in Primark I will definitely be picking up some more of the shades.
Bubble T Hibiscus & Acai Berry Tea Macaroon Lip Balm
I am a lip balm addict. I apply it constantly throughout the day because I hate having dry cracked lips. I got this for Christmas and I love it. 1. the packaging is absolutely adorable 2. it smells delicious and 3. It leaves my lips so super soft and hydrated. My dad has the mint one and my mum has the lemon one and they all smell so damn good.
What were your favourites in January?
