I really struggled with my favourites this month. I haven't really worn makeup so I don't have many beauty picks. I don't really know what happened with September. I can't really think of anything that's happened. I've played a lot of wheelchair basketball and started hydrotherapy so I am absolutely knackered. I seem to have to spend most of my time resting and recovering. Here's hoping October will be more exciting. Anyway here's what I've loved this month
Beanies Flavoured Coffee
28 September 2016
I never used to really drink hot drinks let alone coffee. Then uni and exhausted student life happened and I fell in love. Now I can't start my morning without a nice hot cup of coffee. I know it's bad but it's just sooo good. It's like a warm hug on the inside. I suck at mornings, they're painful and gross so just let me have my hot cup of goodness in peace. Seriously don't try talking to me before. I will probably bite your head off (sorry dad).
Erno Laszlo Firmarine Hydrogel Mask
26 September 2016
Is there anything better than curling up in front of the TV with a face mask and a cuppa? I got this Erno Laszlo mask in my September You Beauty Box and I was dying to try it. My face is always in need of some moisture so I whacked it on grabbed a cuppa and stuck Lie to me on (I've finished it and now don't know what to do with my life. What can I watch?)
Things I miss after moving out
23 September 2016
I moved out into my own bungalow 6 months ago. I can't believe how fast time has gone. I love my little house more and more very day especially now that I have furniture other than a garden chair. That was an uncomfortable experience. However, I thought I'd do a quick post on some of the things I miss about living at home
Models Own Polish for Tans
21 September 2016
I am looking forward to autumn and getting to dress all cosy, plus beanies save so much time in the mornings. What's a hair brush? Baggy jumpers and leggings are life and I'm excited to be cosy without over heating. However, I am holding onto that summer feeling for as long as possible. If you saw my August faves you will have seen this gorgeously bright nail polish. The Models Own Polish for Tans range is just perfect for showing off your holiday or in my case back patio tan.

Ombar Chocolate
19 September 2016
I came across Ombar chocolate on twitter the other day and I somehow magically ended up on their website. I had a browse of how they make their chocolate etc and then got sucked into their flavours. Every chocolate bar sounded more delicious than the last. I am trying to eat healthier because my stomach is just an angry lil guy. Dairy seems to make it the angriest so I had to say goodbye to chocolate. The intense nausea just wasn't worth it.
I was so excited by these vegan, dairy free chocolates that I had to make an order. They're a bit pricier than your run of the mill chocolate but they're worth it for a delicious treat and better for you. I chose 3 different flavours of the bars and a bag of chocolate buttons because chocolate buttons are the bomb. Postage was sooo quick. I ordered them at 11:30pm Thursday and they arrived Saturday.

Room Tour
16 September 2016
I've been in my lil house for over 6 months now and I love it. My bedroom is by far my fave room. Probably because I spend so much time in it and my bed is soo comfy. The main thing I was excited about when I got my own place was being able to have a double bed and starfishing all night. I bought so much cute bedding from Primark when I moved. It's an addiction I can't seem to stop. Cute bedding is my weakness. Also cushions

Little Mermaid Prints
14 September 2016
If you know me you know I'm a huge Disney fan. Disney is always my go to when I need a film to watch and I always drag my family to watch their newest additions. The lovely Rachel from Foxes in the Forest kindly sent me these gorgeous prints to review and made my day. I was sent the Ariel and Ursula prints* and how damn cute are they? The wall above my desk is pretty much just Dinsey and Dorkface prints and it looks so good.

Kiss Air Candles and Wax Melts
12 September 2016
Much to my dads disgust I am obsessed with Candles. Literally every time I light one I get a lecture om fire safety and all the fires he's been to which have started from candles (he's a fireman). They're a neccesity in my house though. The previous owner was a heavy smoker and I can't afford to replace my carpets yet so I can still smell cigarettes some times. Plus I like nice smelling things.
Kiss Air Candles had a deal on the other day of 3 tin candles for £20 instead of £9 each. I then boosted it up to £25 with wax melts so I could get free postage.
The large tins I picked up were Clean Cotton, Black Cherry and Coconut and I chose Sun Kissed Raspberry, Mango Sorbet and Vanilla Pod wax melts. The wax melts are definitely my favourite as they give off way more scent. The tins are quite a delicate fragrance which was a little bit disappointing. I also am not really a fan of the cherry one. Cherry is normally my favourite scent but this one smells a bit like cough mixture. I absolutely love the clean cotton and coconut though, I just wish it smelt stronger when burning. I'll probably pick up the wax melt versions soon.
The Mango sorbet wax melt smells heavenly. My room smells so fruity and good right now. I've mixed it with some of the raspberry one in my burner and oh my god it is soo good. As you may know I am obsessed with coconut. All of my toiletries are coconut and this candle smells just as good.
You get 40g of wax in each melt which is approx 20 hours of burning. I had mine burning constantly yesterday and went through about 4 tealights and I've barely made a dent in the tiny amount I put in my burner. They're also nice and soft so easy to cut so you can use just a little bit at a time & mix n match scents.
Each tin is supposed to burn for approximately 25-30 hours but I'm not sure mine are going to last that long. They seem to burn quite quickly
I will definitely be getting some more wax melts in the near future. I just can't decide which ones to get. However, I will probably give the tins a miss.

What Did You Do To Yourself?
9 September 2016
I went into a shop the other day (to get brownie supplies) with my brother, both of us in wheelchairs wrestling with those ridiculous trolleys that attach to your chair. The woman on the checkout asked us what we'd done. It took me a while to process and realise she meant why were we in wheelchairs and not what we had done with our day. When I replied that we had a genetic condition she got super embarrassed and immediately blurted out that the weather was nice. Just a tad awkward.
Why is it that when people see a wheelchair or crutches they immediately think it's something we've done to ourselves. We must have done something dangerous or silly and it's all our fault that we need a mobility aid. Why does a disability have to be someone's fault? That's not how disabilities work
Even if someone is disabled because of an accident this does not mean it is their fault.
My disability is no one's fault. It's a mutation in my genes that no one could do anything about. It's just something I am. I am disabled and I didn't do anything to myself. I am also extremely fabulous.
Every time I wear a splint I get "ooh what have you done to yourself this time?". Umm nothing. I just got out of bed and my ankle was hurting. I thought I could write and my wrist is now angry. My knee is refusing to stay in place today. I dislocated my finger turning on the light. It's just how my body is. It's not something I do to it.
Can we please stop with the what have you done to yourself questions. They are ridiculous and just make it awkward for everyone involved when you don't get the juicy answer you were looking for. Made worse when the person asking freaks out at the mention of a genetic condition. People need wheelchairs for all sorts of reasons. Paralysis is a very small percentage of those reasons. People use crutches for things other than breaks and sprains.
Also not everyone is comfortable talking about their health and why they need their various mobility aids. Anxiety is pretty common in the chronically ill community and being questioned by strangers can be very intimidating. It is not your right to know because you're curious.
If you have any genuine questions about disability, ehlers danlos syndrome and wheelchairs then I am more than happy to answer as long as you are polite.

September 2016 You Beauty Box
7 September 2016
I was sat on the sofa feeling sorry for myself this morning because of my screwed up jaw when the postman decided to cheer me up. The delivery Gods were looking down on me today as I actually got my shipping notification an hour after I'd cracked my box open.
Lipcote Original Lipstick Sealer
This was from the section where you could pick again from previous boxes. I have a few lipsticks which don't have the best staying power so I really hope this helps. Also hope it doesn't smell as strong on the lips as it does in the bottle.
Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser
As you may know I struggle a lot with really dry skin. I went away last weekend & forgot to pack my normal moisturiser. My face then decided to peel and look all cracked and I had to panic buy some moisture for my face. That being said I'm excited to try this as it's lightweight so should be great for the mornings.
Erno Laszlo Firmarine Hydrogel Mask
I am obsessed with face masks at the moment so I am soo excited to whack this on. It's a gel mask to firm skin and improve elasticity as well as removing toxins.Plus it's gonna look hilarious on. I would also probably never pay £14 for one mask so this bargain of a box means I get to try it.
Propercorn Lightly Sea Salted
I was pretty excited when I saw this on top. I love popcorn. The coconut and vanilla is hands down my favourite propercorn. As soon as I got my pictures I dived in but I'm pretty disappointed. I know they're only lightly salted but they don't taste of anything. Like eating polystyrene. Sad times.
The Hero Project Glow Drops
Each box gets some samples which included this and the nanoblur. These promise a gorgeous, youthful, radiant glow and can be applied before makeup for a dewy lit within glow. I'm all about the dewy glow so I'm looking forward to giving them a whirl
Indeed Labs Nanoblur
Supposed to give flawless skin in seconds by erasing wrinkles, crows feet and enlarged pores. When using with makeup it says to pat on top of liquid foundation which sounds strange so I'm intrigued
Minus the tasteless popcorn I'm pretty pleased with this months box. Definitely better than last months.

Kit: Power Bank
2 September 2016
I always seem to be on the go. I can't remember the last time I spent a whole weekend at home. Basketball (of the wheelchair variety obvs) takes up the majority of my weekends. Curse my brother for being such a damn superstar. In fact when this post goes live I will be in Loughborough watching him compete in the Sainsbury's school games, hopefully winning. This paired with the fact that I am very attached to twitter, instagram and occasionally snapchat my phone needs to be charged on the go.
Side note: How awesome is my wallpaper and case?
I did already own the 5000mAh EasyAcc portable charger which has been a life saver. I can get about two charges from it, which would be fine if everyone in my family didn't want to use it. When I was in ASDA on Saturday Ollie spotted the Kit: 10000mAh portable power bank (I can't find the ASDA link but I've included an amazon one) for £12 down from £29.99. Bargain. I decided to grab it because you can never have too many portable chargers and I can't resist a good bargain.
It claims to hold five chargers. Today I have charged my phone, my iPad and my kindle all from flat and it still has 2 out of four lights showing so I'm pretty impressed. It comes with 2 USB ports and a charger cable which handily also fits my Samsung. It's not as pretty as my EasyAcc one which is sad but if it keeps my phone juiced then I'll let it slide. Looks aren't everything. You can get it in Pink or Blue but they weren't in the store.
The Kit: power bank is heavier than the EasyAcc so for all my spoonies out there bear that in mind. It's not the lightest thing to lug around. Mine will be in the back of my chair though so it doesn't really bother me. For £12 you can't really go wrong and my whole family has now purchased one so they don't have to steal mine. We will never have dead phones again.
Here's hoping I will remember to recharge at least one of them.
